EXPOSING THE HYPOCRISY AND DISHONESTY OF JUSTIN FRIMPONG KODUA (JFK)

It is needless to say that the latest groundswell of endorsement for John Boadu's candidature as General Secretary of the NPP, particularly, fifteen (15) out of the sixteen (16) regional chairmen of the party has sent shivers down the spine of his co-aspirants and their supporters.

Notable amongst these uneasy-feeling General Secretary hopefuls is Justin Frimpong Kodua. It is apparent that JFK and his supporters cannot come to terms with the fact that they have just ONE (1) out of the sixteen (16) regional chairpersons on their side.

This has rendered them in a state of near-political-unconsciousness, thereby resorting to malicious propaganda. They baselessly allege among other things that each of the 15 regional chairmen who have openly endorsed John Boadu has been compromised with money. That is how the much talked-about JFK campaign has sunk to its lowest ebb!

For the avoidance of doubt, there is no iota of truth in the stated allegations. On the contrary, John Boadu has not given a penny to any regional or constituency chairperson/officer for them to endorse him. As known of John Boadu, he is neither a populist nor a desperate politician who will pay people for endorsements!

But come to think of it; it is even insulting and disrespectful to the intelligence of the fifteen (15) regional chairpersons (as well the constituency executives who voted them into office) for anybody to allege that they have sold their conscience for a fee.

These are noble men; officers of high repute, who have spent and continue to spend huge sums of money to run the party in their regions on a daily basis. For Christ's sake, they are not political kids, and people must learn to respect their decisions.

Indeed, these are men of high moral character and integrity who believe, and rightly so, that John Boadu is the best bet for the General Secretary position of the NPP at this crucial time, considering his wealth of experience, competence and hardwork.

The utter disrespect, hypocrisy and dishonesty on the part of Justin Kodua and his supporters leaves one in wonderland. It is shocking that an aspirant, who, a few weeks ago was all over social media telling the world that he had fully captured Central Region delegates because the party's regional chair, Robert Kutin had openly endorsed him (shared pictures of him seated together with Chairman Kutin in a JFK branded cap on Facebook), will days later turn around to pick a fight with other regional chairpersons. What sort of hypocrisy and dishonesty is this? Gracious me!

Well, if the arguments of Justin Kodua and his supporters is anything to go by, then, he should tell the good delegates of the NPP and the general public how much he paid Robert Kutin to get his endorsement. Two legs cannot be good, whilst four legs are bad. It is not for nothing that the Bible teaches us not to do unto others what we do not want to be done to us.

Kodua, by his conduct has shown that he is not a unifier whom we can entrust the position of General Secretary. He has clearly set a warpath between himself and the fifteen (15) regional chairpersons, such that in the unlikely event that he wins Saturday's elections, there would be massive cracks in the party. How is he going to work with the very people he has accused of taking bribe from his main contender?

As if that is not enough, the level of opprobrium he has shown to members of the Elections Planning Committee of the party in recent times, particularly, the Chairman, Peter Mac-Manu in the full glare of nonparty actors is one that cannot go unmentioned. For Kodua to openly chide Mac Manu at the Accra Sports Stadium for the latter daring to enquire from him, his preparedness for Saturday's conference is a matter that leaves much to be desired.

Experience is an expensive commodity but it is not sold on the market for people to buy. John Boadu's good works are known to the world, and that is what will win him the election on Saturday. I implore team JFK to engage in healthy campaign devoid of slander so that the party can forge in unison after Saturday's election and face our bigger opponent, the NDC, come December 7, 2024.

Assalamu alaikum.

God bless, the NPP!

God bless Ghana!!
